KeyFinder Thing is a simple utility to retrieve the Serial numbers or CD Keys of Microsoft software installed on your system.

It includes options to export the list of found keys and a search option to find keys not included by default. Whilst this utility is aimed at Microsoft products I have built it to be versatile so I can include other non-MS products so please feel free to email me with any requests for software titles to be included and I will do my best.

System Requirments [estimated!]
Any 32bit Windows OS that has .NET 2.0 FX installed.

128 mb RAM should do it but I havn't tested it on anything that small

Any Intel, AMD processor should run it although again I havn't had chance
to test it on anything lower than 1gHZ .



Note:  Slower to load than competition
           Does not find keys for Windows 7

The Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder is a freeware utility that retrieves your Product Key (cd key) used to install windows from your registry. It also has a community-updated configuration file that retrieves product keys for many other applications. Another feature is the ability to retrieve product keys from unbootable Windows installations.

                      Advantages include very small size, ease of use, instant display of product keys and multiple product key saving options.

The Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder website says that this free key finder will not find your Windows 7 product key but in fact it does (as of v2.0.9.5). However, the Windows 8 product key found with this free version of MJBK is not correct.

Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder allows product keys to be printed or saved as text files.

The Windows Registration information (local only) can be easily changed.

If you have the proper network access, Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder
can identify the product keys on other PCs remotely.

Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder features:

• An optional config file - this functionality lets you pull a key stored in the registry for any software. A sample config file is included in the zip and can be seen here: www.keyfinder.cfg

• Command line options - /save <location> /savecsv <location> /close /hive <location> /file <filename>

• Load Hive option - allows you to load the registry hive of another Windows installation. To use, put the hard drive in a working machine (must also be Windows 2000, XP, Vista or Windows 7) or use Windows PE (not tested, should work) and click Load Hive. Then point it to the dead Windows install. If you're using Windows Vista, Administrator rights are required for this feature. You may have to right click on the Keyfinder and run as Administrator.

The Winkeyfinder program is a  free utility that retrieves product keys from the Windows registry.
